Dink Fast Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 28, 2025

Thank you for choosing Dink Fast! H&S Ventures, doing business as Dink Fast (referred to as "Dink Fast," "we," "us," or "our"), provides this mobile pickleball training application (the "App" or "Service") to users in the United States. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, your rights and choices, and how you can contact us with questions. By using Dink Fast, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (see "Changes to This Privacy Policy" below). If you have any questions about our privacy practices, please contact us using the information provided in the "Contact Us" section.

What Data We Collect

We collect information about you in several ways. The types of data we collect may include:

Information You Provide Directly:

When you create an account or use the Service, you may give us information such as:

  • Account Information: When registering, you may provide personal identifiers like your name, email address, username, and password. If you choose to sign in via a third-party account (e.g., Sign in with Apple or Google), we will receive basic information like your name and email from those services (as permitted by your settings).
  • Profile and Training Data: You may provide additional information for your user profile or training preferences – for example, your skill level, training goals, or other details you choose to share to personalize your training. If you participate in coaching reviews, you might also submit content such as text feedback or personal notes.
  • User Content: If you upload or submit content through the Service (such as a video of your pickleball play for coaching feedback, photos, or comments in any community features), we collect that content. This can include metadata associated with the content (for example, the time and date a video was recorded).
  • Communications: If you contact us directly (e.g., via customer support emails or feedback forms), we will receive the information you communicate, including the content of your messages and any contact information you provide. We also collect any responses you provide in surveys or promotions if you choose to participate.

Information We Collect Automatically:

When you use Dink Fast, we automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with the App:

  • Device and Usage Data: We collect data about the device and app you use to access the Service. This includes information like your device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (such as an Apple IDFA or Google Advertising ID, if you have allowed tracking on your device), the device's language and region settings, and system locale.
  • Log and Analytics Data: We collect usage information such as the features you use in the App, the pages or screens you view, the dates/times of your activities, and other usage statistics. For example, we may log when you start and finish a training session or which videos you watch. We also record technical information like IP address, App version, and any error or crash reports (which may be sent to us via our analytics providers).
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Although Dink Fast is primarily a mobile app, if you visit our website or landing pages, we and our partners may use cookies or similar tracking technologies in your browser. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us recognize you and remember your preferences. We may also use web beacons (pixel tags) in emails or on web pages to track whether you open emails or perform certain actions on our site.
  • Referral and Attribution Data: We collect information about how you were referred to our App. For instance, if you clicked on an affiliate link or a marketing campaign (such as a link on Destination Pickleball or a social media post) that led you to install Dink Fast, that link may contain unique identifiers or UTM parameters. We capture those parameters to understand that you came from a particular partner or campaign. Additionally, we might use third-party attribution tools or SDKs in the App that tell us which ad or link you clicked to install the app (so we can credit the source of the install or subscription).

Information from Third Parties:

We may receive information about you from other sources:

  • App Stores and Payment Processors: When you purchase a subscription or in-app item through Apple's App Store or Google Play, we may receive limited information about the transaction. This can include confirmation that you made a purchase, your subscription status (active, canceled, renewal date), the type of subscription or product, and possibly your country or region (for tax purposes). We do not receive your credit card number or other sensitive payment details from Apple or Google.
  • Analytics Providers: We use third-party analytics services (like Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics for our website, or similar) that collect information on our behalf about how users interact with our App and site. These providers may use cookies, device IDs, or other tools to gather such data.
  • Advertising Partners: If we run ads for Dink Fast on third-party platforms (such as Google, Facebook, or other ad networks), those platforms may provide us with information about the reach and effectiveness of our ads. For example, we might receive aggregated data about how many installs or subscriptions occurred from a particular ad campaign. We might also receive device-related information to know if a particular user who saw our ad later signed up for the Service.
  • Affiliate/Referral Partners: If you were referred by an affiliate or influencer, that partner might send us certain information to help us reconcile referrals. For example, an affiliate might share a referral code or ID that you used, which we match with our records to confirm your signup or purchase. In some cases, we may also share some data back with the partner for tracking.

Sensitive Information: We do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal information such as social security numbers, biometric data, or health information beyond what you may voluntarily provide about your fitness level or training (and we recommend you not include sensitive personal or health details in the App). We also do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 (see "Children's Privacy" below).

How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information for purposes consistent with providing, improving, and promoting the Service, and as otherwise described in this policy. The primary uses of your data include:

Providing and Operating the Service:

We use your information to operate Dink Fast and provide you with the features and services you expect. This includes using personal data to:

  • Create and maintain your account, authenticate you when you log in, and remember your settings and preferences.
  • Deliver training content and personalized coaching. For example, we may use your profile info and past training activity to suggest appropriate drills or to tailor coaching feedback.
  • Facilitate the review of any User Content you submit for coaching (e.g., sharing your submitted video with a coach and providing their feedback to you).
  • Process your transactions and manage subscriptions or in-app purchases. This can involve communicating with Apple or Google to validate your subscription status, enable premium features, and handle renewals or cancellations.
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries or requests. If you contact us with a question or for help, we will use your information to assist you.

Improving and Personalizing the Service:

We use data to understand and analyze usage trends and user preferences in order to improve the App's functionality and content. This includes:

  • Monitoring aggregate usage metrics (e.g., total number of users, session length, popular features) to identify what is working well and what might need improvement.
  • Debugging and fixing errors or crashes in the App by reviewing crash logs and technical reports.
  • Developing new features or content. For example, if analytics show users often repeat certain drills, we might create more content around that skill.
  • Personalizing your experience. We may use your activity data to recommend videos or drills you haven't tried yet, or to remind you about unfinished sessions. We might also tailor content difficulty or suggestions based on your usage patterns.

How We Share Your Data

We understand that your personal information is important, and we are careful about how we share it. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, we may share information about you in the following circumstances and with the following parties:

  • Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party companies that perform services on our behalf. These providers are only given access to the information needed to perform their specific services, and they are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for our specified purposes.
  • Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with applicable laws, legal process, or governmental requests, enforce our Terms of Service, protect our rights, property, or safety, or detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
  • Business Transfers: If Dink Fast (or substantially all of our assets) undergoes a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy, your information may be transferred to the successor or acquiring entity as part of that transaction.
  • With Your Consent: We may share your personal information for other purposes not listed here if you give us your consent to do so.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement reasonable security measures to protect it from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures are designed to protect data during storage and transmission. They include, for example: using encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit, encryption of sensitive data at rest, firewall and intrusion detection systems, access controls restricting who at Dink Fast can access personal data, and regular security training for our staff.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. You should also play a role in protecting your information. Keep any account credentials (like your password) confidential and use a unique, strong password for our Service. If you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or information, notify us immediately.

In the event of any data breach or security incident affecting your personal information, we will act promptly to mitigate the impact and will notify you and/or the appropriate regulatory authorities as required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. In general:

  • Active Accounts: If you have an account with Dink Fast, we will retain your information while your account is active or as long as needed to provide you with the Service. This allows you to access historical training data, purchased content, etc.
  • Inactive Accounts: If your account is inactive, we may retain your data for a period of time in case you return to the Service, or as needed for our legitimate business interests (for example, maintaining records of subscriptions for financial reporting). We periodically review our user accounts and may anonymize or delete information of inactive accounts after a certain time, unless we are required to keep it longer.
  • Deletion Requests: If you request deletion of your personal data (and we have verified your identity and processed that request), we will delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with applicable law. Some residual information may remain in our backups or logs for a short period, but we will purge those in the normal course of business. Also, as noted, we might retain certain information if necessary for legal obligations or legitimate interests such as record-keeping.
  • Aggregated/Anonymized Data: We may continue to use data that has been aggregated or anonymized in a way that it is no longer associated with an identifiable user, for purposes such as statistical analysis and business improvements.

International Data Transfers

Dink Fast is based in the United States, and our servers and operations are primarily located in the U.S. If you use our Service from outside the United States, your information will likely be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers are based. Data protection laws in these countries may be different from, and less protective than, the laws in your country.

However, we take steps to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions where we process it. These safeguards may include:

  • Contractual Clauses: If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we may rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other approved mechanisms for data transfers to countries not deemed "adequate" by the European Commission or other authorities. These clauses contractually oblige the recipient of the data to protect it according to standards essentially equivalent to EU law.
  • Privacy Shield (Legacy): While the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks were invalidated for EU personal data, our company still aims to uphold the principles of transparency, choice, and accountability for onward transfer that were part of that framework, and we are awaiting newer frameworks or guidance.
  • Service Provider Agreements: We require that our non-EU service providers who might access EU personal data implement appropriate safeguards, such as signing on to Standard Contractual Clauses and maintaining high standards of security and privacy.

By using Dink Fast, or by providing us with your information, you acknowledge the transfer of your personal information to the United States and other jurisdictions as described in this policy.

Children's Privacy

Dink Fast is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not use our Service or send us any personal information. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.

For parents and guardians: If you discover that your child under 13 has provided personal information to Dink Fast without your consent, please contact us and we will promptly remove the information.

For teens between 13 and 18: We advise that minors over 13 consult with their parents or guardians before providing any information about themselves online. If you are under 18, you should use Dink Fast only with involvement of a parent or guardian.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or for other reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. In the case of material changes, we will provide a more prominent notice of the change. This could include a notice in the App, an email to the address associated with your account, or other reasonable means.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of Dink Fast after any changes to this Privacy Policy means you accept the updated policy, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
